Soliris (Eculizumab)

  • Soliris is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with a disease called Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder, which effects the spinal cord and eye nerve.

  • Soliris may also be used to treat a certain immune system disorder, atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, by preventing blood clots caused by this disease.

  • Soliris may also be used to treat a certain muscle condition, Myasthenia Gravis, by improving the symptoms of this condition.

  • Soliris is also used to treat Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria a blood disorder. Soliris assists in blocking the decrease in red blood cells and can improve the symptoms of anemia and decrease the need for blood transfusion.

Indication:

  • Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria

  • Atypical hemolytic Uremic Syndrome

  • Myasthenia Gravis

  • Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder


Infusion Duration:


Frequency:

  • Loading Dose: 4 infusions, given over the course of 4 weeks, 1-week interval.

  • Maintenance Dose: Every 2 weeks.
