Family Nurse Practitioner

Melanie is a Family Nurse Practitioner joining Lux Infusion with 10 years of nursing expertise in a wide variety of settings. She proudly graduated with her Master's degree from Auburn University in Alabama, fulfilling a lifelong educational goal. In May 2025, she will continue her education in Auburn's DNP program.

Melanie was born and raised in Georgia, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA. She began her nursing career there in postpartum nursing, and with each Army move, grew knowledge in different specialties to include joint surgeries, spine surgeries, home health, medical ICU, med surg, and pediatrics. She credits each role throughout the years for her well-rounded knowledge as a provider.

Melanie moved to Alaska 2 years ago with her family on military orders. She has since grown to love her community and serves Fairbanks by fostering dogs, volunteering around town, and promoting child wellness with the mobile play teddy clinic her and her husband created.  She enjoys spending summers camping and exploring Alaska with her husband Wells, their 3 children, and 3 dogs.
