Boniva (Ibandronate) Infusions

Boniva (ibandronate) is a prescription medicine used to treat osteoporosis in women after menopause. Boniva helps increase bone mass and helps reduce the chance of having a spinal fracture (break).

Indication:

  • Treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women

Additional information:

  • Oral exam will be completed at Infusion suite prior to each infusion

  • Prior to each dose you will have labs drawn to assess renal function

  • You should be taking a supplemental calcium and vitamin D if dietary intake is not adequate.

Benlysta Infusion Duration:

15-30 seconds thru vein in your arm. (Must stay in infusion suite for 30-minutes post infusion)

Frequency:

  • Every 3 months

  • Do not receive more frequently then every 3 months

  • If a dose is missed, receive as soon as can be re-scheduled
