David is a Nurse Executive Leader with over 18 years of nursing experience. Prior to BioMatrix, David served at OptumRx for the past eleven years as a Regional Nursing Operations Director and as a Clinical Services Manager of Advanced Practice Nurses within Optum. David’s operational experience includes contracting, accreditations, licensing, quality, clinical efficiency, and leading large nursing teams across 26 states.

David holds an undergraduate Biomedical Science degree from Texas A&M University, a Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas, and a Master of Business Administration from St. Thomas University, and is a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the state of Texas. David was a UnitedHealth Group Sage Nominee in 2016 and 2020, was certified as a Lean Leader in 2017, and completed the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program in 2020.

David lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and four children. David and his wife spend most of their time supporting their kids as they participate in many extracurricular sports and activities. Any spare time is spent outdoors, serving in his local church, and road biking.
